One piece moulded sides, roof and floor form the backbone of the finished model.
The sides are CNC machined to produce the various styles of BR Mk1 coach bodies from accurately
profiled material which has been specially produced to our exacting standards. This produces a robust structure
which will withstand the rigours of handling often experienced by exhibition models.
The end panels of the mainline stock are injection mouldings and incorporate the bufferbeam and buffer stock detail.
By moulding the buffer stocks with the bufferbeam you will never see an Easybuild coach with drooping buffers!
The end panels of our suburban stock are also injection mouldings.
Truss rod mounting brackets are also moulded on the same sprue.
Injection moulded bogie frame components are complimented by what are considered by many modellers to be the best
running wheels currently available, together with brass bearings.
Kits are supplied with BR 1B bogies as a standard fitment, however you can specify our new B4 bogie,
or even Gresley style bogies for the stock which utilised them (see the bogies page for more details).
Kitchen car kits also contain additional underframe components gas cylinder boxes and extra roof vents and fans.
Also contained in the pack are the various roof and bogie fixing components. These casting are cast in pewter.
The etched brass detail parts include:
* two types of door hinges
* various styles of door handles
* door grab handles
* coach end and solebar steps
* brake hangers and linkages
* coupling hooks
* the dynamo mounting
* electrical plugs
* roof pipework supports
* passenger doors step supports
* guard compartment lower underframe steps.
Etched brass window frames for all body side window types create a crisp window outline for a superior finish.
And here's the box the kit comes in - not only sturdy, but also big enough to store the completed model!
